First, there`s the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. Second, it¿s a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. Thirdly, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a mobile broadband Internet connection (requires a mobile broadband data card). Linksys RouterOct 16, 2009 What a wonderful solution to sharing your internet with those in your home (or near by) if you have a Verizon wireless card. Fairly simple to set up with a little bit of reading. A snap to use once established. Two months of trouble free operations. An excellent product so far.
It Worked The First Time!!Sep 18, 2009 I got the router, connected it, and it worked the first time! The installation is so simple, it goes step by step to get it working. I had read on a review that it makes the Verizon Wireless card "faster". Doing basic "internet" browsing, it does seem "snappier", but when doing downloads the speeds are about the same. I would recommend this for anyone using a Verizon Wireless Internet card. BTW, I am using a PC-5750 wireless card.
Great for vacations and weekends awaySep 15, 2009 This mobile router worked great for me and my family. Usually when we go away for a weekend or on vacation, everyone wants to use the laptop with the mobile broadband card to check their email and update Facebook. Now, with this router, we can use multiple laptops, as well as my daughter's iPod Touch, all at the same time. Setup was easy, and the range was pretty good. The MiFi 2200 is a lot more convenient for mobile use, as it's smaller and rechargeable battery-powered, but it has no wired Ethernet ports like this router does. That allows me to use it for home internet access with desktop PC's when my cable internet service is down.
I only gave it 4 stars because I would have liked it to be a little smaller, and maybe have a battery-powered option. Otherwise, it works very well, and I would recommend it.
Awesome Product!Aug 28, 2009 Worked perfectly, right out of the box! Plugged in my Novatel V740 Expresscard (using a PCMCIA Card adapter), plugged in an ethernet cable to the PC & voila, internet access! Can't ask for much more simple than that! I then made the changes in SSID & security that I wanted; then I was off and running. I use it for my Netbook, iPod-Touch and kids laptop all at the same time with no issues at all. I highly recommend this product!

Complete trashJul 03, 2009 I had this same router designed for sprint.
Major issues not related to the ISP this is why im writing this review.
I actually went through 4 of these units, all of them failed! The initial unit was difficult to setup and tech support was little help (no speak english) and it had a total meltdown 2 weeks after purchase. Linksys did replace the units 3 times (With remanufactured product). Each time they had different issues. The 4th one that i kept for 9 months was ok for a week and then the wirless stopped working so i used it pluged in for the last 8 1/2 months.
Huge piece of over complicated junk!
Best alternitive is the Cradlepoint MBR1000....Easy setup (5 min and i was online wirelessly) and 100% reliable so far.
